NEWS FLASH - FORUM, FOOTLOOSE, AND APPEAL FOR MEN!!

The Grove and Rawdon Theatre Company are in for a busy time over the next few months with their production of ‘A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum’ in November followed by the musical of the 80’s cult classic ‘Footloose’ in May 2010, which has only just been released by the rights holders.

‘Keeping with the tradition of GRTC we have chosen a challenging and varied programme for
the next year or so’ said Chairman Peter Stebbings ‘Forum is an absolute riot and Footloose is
hot off the press and will really appeal to our younger audience and those of us old enough to
remember the film!’

As always, GRTC have assembled a fantastic cast for 'A Funny thing Happened on the way to the Forum and rehearsals are commencing shortly with the cast once again being led by director Royston Bayfield. Cathy Sweet takes charge of the MD’s baton. Royston has directed all of the company’s shows since its inception in 2002 and has gained a reputation for the complexity of his productions and the strength of the casts who work for him; 'Forum' is bound to be another great success. Tickets are on sale and audience members are advised to book early to avoid missing out on what is bound to be a very popular show; call the box office number 0113 2505011 now to reserve your tickets.

GRTC are also appealing for men to join them for their production of ‘ Footloose ’ in May 2010. The company are on the look out for talented male performers who would like to audition for the show. Any men who are interested in working with this talented company should call the box office number and register their interest with Barbara Matthews.
